  1. 800MHz 4G is coming to the UK this summer and TV interference issues are big in the news right now, but there is precious little information on what's in store for literally millions of short range radio products. The UK Government budget just for tackling 4G interference to domestic TVs alone is £180,000,000. Short range radio support budget? Zero, unless someone knows differently. Disgracefully that includes safety of life social alarms for example.

  2. See the Digital Mobile Spectrum Limited (DMSL)web site for information on how £180m will be spent on mitigating interference to domestic TV from 4G base stations. www.at800.tv

Interference to 'licence exempt' short range radio products from 4G base stations is unlikely to be a general issue. However, the close proximity to 868MHz of 4G user equipment frequencies for smartphones and computer dongles most certainly will.
